Career up or down? German-Indo Symposium for Students 09. June 2007


Momentarily, India is everywhere in Germany. This is also observed by students in Germany. IMore and more students are studying languages, sciences and other faculties like e.g. economy and law, execute practical foreign semesters or complete studies in India. And from India there are approx. 5,000 students studying in Germany.

What do the students expect from their engagements in India and Germany? What do representatives from industries think about the emerging interest of Indian and German students in the two cxountries? And: do the studies serve the career or not ? Answers to these questions will be given by the suymposium held by the Institute for Indology and Tamilistics of the Universität in Cologne (IITS) together with the German-Indo Society e.V. (DIG) under the headline \\\"Study Exchange India-Germany: career up or down?\\\".
