At the end a group photo: the participants of the 1st Rhine-India-Day in Giesenkirchen were satisfied with the opening day.
The 1st Rhine-India-Day in Moenchengladbach was a full success for the enterprise Diamant. The Gladbach-people have developed a project with "Construvation" which will cause a furore on the sub-continent.

Giesenkirchen – Ajitesh Chatterjee and Prabhat Singh of "Indian Oil" listened with full attention to what was said during the 1st Rhine-India-Day in Moenchengladbach. "And the Indian Railroad Co. has already shown interest", said Professor Dr. Stefan Boehm of the Technical University of Braunschweig. Boehm's Institute cooperates through the projekt "Construvation" with the Giesenkirchen-based enterprise Diamant and shall check the new techn ology and care for approvals. Diamant Metallplastic produces the required Metal Polymers.

Yet, what is Construvation? "Construvation offers the possibility to save a lot of money", Boehm is convinced. Old. corrided steel construction can be renovated and stabilised with this method. Polymeric metals are used to repair cracks in steel constructions. Thus, superannuated railway bridges which would have to be replaced could be maintained which saves a lot of money instead of a new bridge offerin Diamant a huge field of applications - especially in India! There are thousands of old steel bridges which need repair. A huge market! Maybe too big for the SME company Diamant? CEO Achim Schulz smiles: "Then let us build up a company in India!"

The experts from Giesenkirchen have been active in India for long years already, have their partners here and know the market. As a co-founder of the Indo-German-Office in Bangalore Schulz thus has best contacts to position also "Construvation" in the Indian market. Moreover, a master programme is developed in cooperation between RWTH Aachen and the elitist Jain College in Bangalore. This is what we call "Knowledge Transfer". The contacts are being further intensified. "And that is why this was not the last India Day in Moenchengladbach", Schulz is convinced. And the next trip to Asia has already been planned for the end of this year ...
