Market chances installed on a new platform of the Rhine County Neuss .

Indo-German Office – NRW opened in the Rhine County Neuss .

Rhine County Neuss: India counts to the largest countries of the world, the real economical growth rate of the past 10 years is over 8% and the buying power has nearly doubled since the change of the millenium. Even the strongest pessimists classify the development positively. Today, the Indian markets have the power of the markets of Germany, France and the Netherlands together. All economists agree that India will very soon grow to the 3rd biggest economy in the world.

Under such aspects it is an absolute msut for German entrepreneurs to get engaged in Indian markets, potentials, chances and risks otherwise they are risking to loose necessary influences vs. competitive countries and find later only an aggravated admission to this market. Thus, they must ask themselves whether they can risk to ignore one of the largest future market of the world. .

The economical development department of the Rhine County Neuss fomred now a platform with the Indo-German Office - NRW (in short: IGO-NRW) facilitating the market entry for enterprises as well as for universities and institutes.

Market entries do not only consist of mere exchange of goods or services they are also starting with research and development. The wheel is no more re-invented but its optimizing. The drawing table has long been changed with 3 dimensional digital control processes and global communication electronics allow process changes in real time around the globe..

The crucial point is that enterprises have to be present where global markets are changing. Industrial and trading companies are using local supply sources (reasons: quality assurance, JiT deliveries, after sales service). Suppliers having no address locally will hardly be considered. Suppliers who do not transfer their Know How will not participate in tomorrow's markets. .

For this, the Indo-German Office is a gateway for science and economy in NRW. The technical competence is given by the Indo German Institute of Technologies IGIT within the Technological University VTU of Bangalore, India. Over 140,000 students are taught in more than 120 faculties most modern technologies and rank high in the Indian education system. The base for cooperation between India and Germany was laid already in the year 2002 by the Rhine County Neuss in close cooperation with Achim Schulz (Mang. Partner of Diamant Metallplastic GmbH, Moenchengladbach). This was followed in 2003 by the inauguration of the Indo German Institute of Technologies at VTU and the first course of studies in tribology (science of wear, friction and lubrication). One year later the 1st linear tribology laboratory in the Asiatic world was installed in collaboration with the Univedrsity of Darmstadt. .

Now, there were a number of scientific projects agreed between the small but top class Indian delegation, representatives from politics and economy as well as professors of the RWTH Aachen and of the universities of applied sciences of Niederrheine and Juelich.

Prof. Dr. Balaveera Reddy, VC of the VTU, was accompanied by Dr. Krishna Venkatesh, academic head of IGIT, and the Joint Venture partners of Diamant, Mr. Gopal and Mr. Sharad Srivastava from Bangalore. 3 of this party celebrated their birthday during the trip emphasizing the importance of the visit. Discussions were held with various industrial and scientific representatives out of which "CASIE" is to be mentioned substitutional for the other 6 projects, a new automotive research and development center in cooperation between VTU and the IKA INstitute at RWTH Aachen. .

Thus, the Indo-German Office NRW has for the 1st time connected sciences, technologies and economies. The endorsement -NRW- just means a local separation as was noted with pleasure by some enterprises from Baden-Wuerttemberg, Hesse and Saarland..
