No other German city but Moenchengladbach has so many enterprises exhibit at the largest industrial fair in Turkey, the "World of Industry". No surprise: the economy at the Bosporus is booming.

The Bosporus begins right behind Neuwerk. At least this is what you think when listening to the Moenchengladbach based enterprises. The mighty empire in Asia's front garden seems to be no foreign country to the SMEs. "We have operated for 20 years now in Turkey", says Achim Schulz, Managing Partner of DIAMANT Metallplastic GmbH....
The enterprises are getting the biggest share of the German Community Booth, 14 of the total of 47 booth partners are coming from Moenchengladbach....
The Turkish economy is to grow by 10 percent this year ....
Obviously, the Turks like products "Made in Germany"....
The country at the Bosporus does not have to be the final station for the expansion plans of the Moenchengladbach based enterprises. "Turkey is for us also the gateway to the Arabian markets", says Diamant CEO Schulz.
